I’m an artist and animator based in London. I adore sweet, melancholic and dreamy moods and love super high detail shading and animating cute lil characters with their own (big or small!) personalities. Harajuku style has been a strong influence for me, ever since the tumblr school days. It has been a source of happiness, comfort and inspiration for me throughout my life and I really hope more people can share this love of the style here in London~
Rebellious Sweethearts is my character brand, co-created alongside my best friend and my partner. We are inspired by Japanese pop-culture and kawaii art, and wanted to create a cute world full of cute characters along with a meaningful story. We officially launched early last year and I can’t wait to share our new and exciting projects and collaborations later this year!
‘Let’s Have a Sweet Summer!’ shows Daisy, Loulou and Laela chilling together on the beach, with Laela’s hair mid-way through being styled and accessorised. I created this on a large-scale digital canvas using traditional-textured brushes on Procreate and then printed out this 140x200cm canvas. I then finished the artwork by carefully adorning it with sparkly gems!
